This membership marks a significant step forward in our commitment to becoming a major player in the field of cleanliness and hygiene in the health and care sector.
Clean Hospitals : working together to improve environmental hygiene
Clean Hospitals works by bringing together the joint forces of industry, universities, hospitals, government bodies and key stakeholders to continuously improve environmental health in health and healthcare. Clean Hospitals aims to improve patient safety and draw international attention to the need to focus on environmental hygiene in hospitals. The aim is to reduce the rate of healthcare-associated infections and protect hospital staff. Its many areas of interest include surface, water and air hygiene.
The network is chaired by Prof. Didier Pittet, a renowned infectious diseases physician and epidemiologist specialising in hand hygiene and infection control. He is known for having discovered that hydro-alcoholic friction is more effective than hand washing with soap and water in combating nosocomial diseases.

At Pollet, we are convinced that through this collaboration we will be able to contribute to the health and well-being of patients and staff in the health and care sector by improving environmental hygiene.
