Pollet wins the EU Springboard Award for Export
Great news!
Pollet received the “EU Springboard Award for Export” from the Wallonia Export and Investment Agency (AWEX) at the awards ceremony of the 16th edition of the Wallonia Export Grand Prix on May 31, 2018 in Namur.
Our CEO, Jean Nicolas D’Hondt, explains why Pollet is a promising company:
Organized by the Walloon Export and Investment Agency (AWEX), the Wallonia Export Grand Prix (GPWE) is a bi-annual competition that rewards companies that have contributed to promoting Walloon quality and know-how abroad, either by increasing their export volume or by conquering difficult markets. The “Export Springboard” Awards rewards promising companies.
These are the elements that led the Jury to award Pollet the EU Springboard Award for Export:
1. The very positive change in Pollet’s performance, which reflects its booming international development.
Today, Pollet is present in 17 countries around the world. Our most successful product lines and innovations abroad are our floor maintenance and protection and our biotechnological products for odor treatment. As a result, more than 62% of sales are currently made abroad, and this trend is continuing year after year. For 2018, we are expecting an increase of +/- 15% in exports.
2. Pollet’s international dynamism
Pollet has developed a clear strategy to conquer new markets. The company is an expert in floor cleaning but that is not the only thing… The 254 years of experience and the culture of continuous innovation have brought professionalism, values and skills to the employees.
Pollet offers solutions and support to professionals by combining methods, equipment and products that ensure maximum efficiency and therefore optimal cleaning results. What makes them unique is their dedication to promoting Responsible Cleaning. The heart of Pollet’s product design is the well-being and safety of their customers, who use their products on a daily basis.
3. Pollet’s internal dynamism
Thanks to its continuous innovation, Pollet continues to grow. In 2017, Pollet launched a new product line, the Caps, for which they filed a patent. Thanks to the Caps, Pollet won two innovation awards in 2017. In that same year, Pollet put 38 improvements and new products on the market. Pollet has a longstanding expertise in product development, especially in the field of biotechnological cleaning (since 1993). For 2018/2019, we are developing 2 new product lines, 1 patent has just been filed at the end of 2017 and other improvements are in progress. The last 4 product lines we have launched now represent more than 15% of Pollet’s total revenue.
