Our new cans have a past life!
Pollet switch most of our products to recycled plastic packaging
Pollet’s mission is to bring about lasting change in cleaning. And it’s not just wishful thinking:
- We’re continuing to develop our products to make them cleaner, and we’re working to increase the proportion of our products that are eco-labelled.
- Thanks to investments and continuous improvement measures, Pollet has been able to reduce its electricity consumption by 26% compared with previous years.
- We have put in place an action plan to significantly reduce our wastewater discharges.
But that’s not all. To improve the environmental impact of our products and to meet growing market demand, we are switching most of our products to recycled plastic packaging from September onwards.
This change concerns all small and medium-sized packaging, up to 5-litre cans in the PolGreen, PolBio and PolVita ranges, as well as sprays and ducks in all ranges.
The impact of this change is no less significant: over 1.6 million items of plastic packaging per year will now be recycled.
What will the new cans look like?
Here are our new bottles: Spray, 1L measuring, 5L and canard wc.
Packaging that is currently transparent (e.g. 1L measuring jugs) will in future be more opaque. The level of liquid in the 1L container will nevertheless remain visible.
Recycled packaging is easy to recognise thanks to this pictogram.
Packaging for progress
In addition to its current switch to recycled plastic, Pollet is committed to designing its products with the future in mind. This means not only innovating with recycled plastic packaging, but also creating products that reduce the use of plastic. Pollet Caps, for example, are a complete range of ultra-concentrated products that allow ready-to-use spray bottles to be refilled and reused. This means that 7 times less plastic is used than single-use bottles, and also reduces the impact of storing and transporting products to their point of use.
