PolVita donates €14,125 to Le Rire Médecin and Cliniclowns
Once again in 2024, Pollet is supporting hospitalised children by making an annual donation to hospital clown associations. Through Le Rire Médecin and the Cliniclowns, we try to put a smile back on their faces and give them the chance to escape for a game, a lullaby or a bit of poetry.
Thanks to your purchases of PolVita products in 2023, €10,000 was donated to Le Rire Médecin in France and €4,125 to Cliniclowns in Belgium. Thank you all so much!
A donation of €30 is equivalent to a visit from a clown duo. That’s 470 children who will be enjoying a moment of magic in hospital.
The benefits of hospital clowns
Every year, these non-profit organisations set up projects to support children in hospital and those around them. These include visits by hospital clowns to children’s bedrooms, as well as visits at the bedside of children being cared for at home. These visits benefit both the children and their
parents and carers. They help to soothe the child, divert his or her attention from the pain, and combat the anxiety of hospitalised children. But they also help to support parents through this difficult family ordeal, to recreate moments of happiness and sharing as a family, and to provide moments of relaxation for the nursing staff.
